African Journal of Health and Medical Sciences (AFJHMS) is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation and accessibility of its published content. To achieve this, AFJHMS utilizes the Public Knowledge Project’s Preservation Network (PKP PN) for digital archiving.

PKP PN for Long-Term Preservation

PKP PN is a robust digital preservation service designed to safeguard scholarly content over the long term. By archiving with PKP PN, AFJHMS ensures that its published articles are securely stored and remain accessible even in the event of catastrophic data loss or system failures.

Access and Retrieval

The archived content can be accessed and retrieved through the PKP PN, which is part of a global network of repositories committed to preserving academic research. This ensures that AFJHMS’s content is available to future generations of researchers and scholars.

Backup and Restoration

In addition to using PKP PN, AFJHMS maintains regular backups of all published content on its servers. These backups are stored securely and are regularly tested to ensure that data can be quickly restored in the event of any data loss.
